Facilities

  • Parking: Free parking for up to 200 cars, plus peak time and events off-site parking a 5 minute walk from the castle and can be found at Broadlees - CT16 1HW. Please note, our car park is located on-site, and so opens at the same time as the castle. Parking for Dover Castle visitors only.
  • Food And Drink: NAAFI restaurant, is housed in the 1868 Regimental Institute, so was used as a canteen by the soldiers once stationed here. Here we have a full range of hot foods, all freshly cooked on site using local ingredients wherever possible.
  • Toilets: Male, female and disabled facilities are available in five locations.

  • Road: If there are delays at the Port of Dover we can recommend the following alternative routes to the castle that are not impacted by the delays: The M2/A2 corridor. The A299 towards Ramsgate and then following the A256 to Dover. For those who need to use the M20/A20 we recommend coming off at Alkham Valley and using Alkham Valley Road or coming off at Capel and use old Folkestone Road B2011.
  • Bus: Stagecoach in East Kent 15, 15X, 80, 80A, 81, 93
  • Train: From Dover Priory it's a 1 mile walk uphill to the castle. You can get the 81 bus from the station.
