Features

  • Explore Deal Castle's battlements: Explore Deal Castle's gatehouse, inner courtyard and keep. Then head up the stone steps to walk around Deal Castle's striking semi-circular bastions. From this vantage point, you can look down into the moat and enjoy the spectacular seaside views across Deal beach.
  • Deal Castle's History: Displays and exhibits uncover the history of Deal Castle, and the role it played in defending the coast. Discover the world of 1539 and how Deal castle fit into it, and enjoy a huge illustrated map of Europe explaining the international situation at the time the castle was built.
