Entry to the museum is completely free of charge. The venue is also available for hire, with spaces starting from £15–£20 per hour for community events, meetings, or small celebrations.

Facilities

  • Toilets: We have an accessible toilet with baby change to the left of the welcome desk. There are spare nappies and sanitary products in case you are caught short, plus a step and toilet seat for our younger visitors. Unfourtunatly there is not a changing places toilet in Royston.
  • Baby feeding: Breastfeeding and bottle feeding are welcome anywhere in the Museum. If you would like somewhere private, a comfy chair or glass of water please ask us. We also have a small kitchen where we can warm bottles for you.
  • Picnic Space: We don't have a cafe at the Museum. However, you're welcome to enjoy a picnic outside in our courtyard, or upstairs in our Community Room.
  • Kids activities: We want museums to be fun and engaging places for all ages. Corvis the Crow is waiting to welcome you to the Museum with lots of activities for children to enjoy, just look out for the turquoise hands.

  • By Car: Royston is well situated at the crossroads of the A505 and A10. The A1M and M11 are each within a 15 minute drive, and link easily to the M25 and A14. There is no on-site parking. 
  • By Bus: Royston has good bus links with Cambridge, Hitchin, Hertford, Buntingford and Bishops Stortford.
  • By Train: Royston has frequent train services between London Kings Cross and Cambridge. Royston Museum is a 10 minute walk from Royston train station.
