Peak Hill Llamas was set up in 2006 by Maggie Jee and partner, Paul .
All the llamas are all extremely friendly and easy to handle. We use gentle handling techniques based on the principles of Camelidynamics - a system devised by Marty McGee-Bennett to train and handle llamas with kindness and respect. We also use “operant conditioning” - also known as clicker training, having been inspired by the wonderful work of Terry Crowfoot who has used the system to train her llamas to do some incredible things including ringing bells and picking up litter.
