To celebrate the Summer Solstice, Hathersage Swimming Pool invites you to embrace the magic of the longest day of the year. Join us for the Sunrise Swim to start your day with a refreshing dip, or come back in the evening for live music while you enjoy a swim under the stars. In addition to these events, offer a variety of activities including Aqua Aerobics, Family Swim sessions, and regular swimming lessons for all ages and skill levels. The pool strives to maintain a consistent water temperature, but due to the unpredictable British weather, the temperature can vary. During cooler outdoor air temperatures, especially in the winter, the pool cools down faster than it can be heated, so swimmers should be prepared for changing conditions.

For general admission, the Adult Swim is £8.00 per session (aged 18-64), while the Junior Swim (aged 4-17) is £4.00 per session. Children aged 0-3 years swim for free.

Features

Water Quality: To help maintain water quality, all swimmers must shower before entering the pool. If applying sun cream, please apply it 15 minutes before swimming. This allows it to soak into the skin and prevents it from washing off, ensuring it works more effectively.
Pool Temperature: While the pool strives to maintain a consistent water temperature, it may vary due to the unpredictable British weather and other factors beyond control. During cooler outdoor air temperatures, especially in winter, the pool cools down faster than it can be heated.
Swimming Sessions: Sessions are available to book through the online booking platform on the homepage. A mix of lane sessions and public sessions (family-friendly) are offered. Whenever possible, a single lane will be available during public sessions, but this may be adjusted at management's discretion.
Swimming Lessons: During term time in Spring, Summer, and Autumn, school lessons are held Monday to Thursday from 9 – 10 am. Group swimming lessons for beginners and intermediates (adults and children) are offered every Saturday and Sunday morning from 9 – 10 am during the main Summer season. These lessons are popular, and spots are filled from a waiting list. For more details, contact the pool office via email or phone. The pool is closed during lessons, and lessons do not continue in the winter months (November – March).
Merchandise: To celebrate 75 years of Hathersage Swimming Pool in 2011, a special artwork was commissioned by Dave Thompson. A range of merchandise is available for purchase at the pool office or via telephone orders. Orders can be placed between 9 am and 3 pm, Monday to Friday, by calling.
