Description
Hertfordshire Zoo is a fun and educational zoo located in Broxbourne, offering a chance for families to get up close with various animals including lions, tigers, meerkats, monkeys, red pandas, reptiles, and more. It's known for its hands-on animal encounters and exciting themed zones like World of Dinosaurs with life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, Land of the Tigers, and Rainforest Experience.
Visitors can enjoy activities such as animal feeding sessions, keeper talks, indoor and outdoor play areas, soft play zones, a splash pool in summer, and even a miniature train ride through the zoo. There’s also a mini-golf course and plenty of picnic spots.
Ticket prices start from around £24 for adults and £22 for children, with under-2s going free. Discounted family tickets, memberships, and group rates are also available.
Throughout the year, Hertfordshire Zoo hosts special events like Dino Weekends, Summer Evenings, Halloween Spook-tacular, and Christmas at the Zoo, making it a fun destination to visit all year round.

- Safari Adventure Golf : Traverse the African plains and beyond on our exciting 9-hole mini golf course! Putt your way past zebras, dodge playful pandas, and brave the daring loop-the-loop. We’ve got wacky trick shots to keep things interesting for all ages and skill levels.
- Events : The Zoo hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including themed weekends focusing on specific animal species like tigers, birds, red pandas, reptiles, and lemurs, as well as special appearances and activities. Future events include a "Mummy Pig, Evie and Peppa Visit" and several "One Zoo Three" meet & greets in August 2025.
