They have close to 16 years experience in falconry, although North East Falconry was officially set up in 2016 by Glen Purves. They provide a number of unique falconry experiences. There's something for everyone, Whether you just want a gentle walk alone or with family flying a hawk on a Hawkwalk, Owl Experiences, or one of our Introduction To Falconry courses where you learn all the aspects of owning a bird of prey.
All of our courses are private experiences and are available to pay on the day or there's the option of presenting one of our experiences as gift voucher, which is great unique present for all.

Hawkwalk
On a Hawkwalk they will take you for a gentle walk through beautiful woodland. During the walk they will be flying Hawks free. They will follow along and we frequently call the bird down to your gloved hand. During the walk the falconer will tell you all about the birds of prey we are working with.
Extended falconry experience
On this extended Hawkwalk we will take you for a 1hr Private falconry experience. Once we have finished flying the hawks free, we will return to the starting point and get a number of other birds, such as falcons and owls to handle on your gloved hand.
Introduction to falconry
This experience is suitable for someone who is intrested in getting there own bird. We will spend a number of hours, learning the basic husbandry skills that's required to own your own bird.
It is also suitable for someone who would like to spend a little longer with our birds getting an insight into the world of falconry.
Photography Days
This is the only experience that isn't private. During one of our Photograpghy day we will spend a number of hours flying birds of prey in a naturally staged environmen. Getting the birds flying over ponds, from trees and posts and perches. We will fly, Hawks, eagles, owls, vultures and hawks.
