Gym memberships start at £18 per month, with discounts for students and over-60s. Party packages include soft play, climbing wall, archery, and bouncy castle options, starting from £115.

Features

Badminton: Enjoy playing on one of the three badminton courts we have at Newburn Activity Centre. Badminton courts are available on Monday – Friday 9am – 9pm and Saturday – Sunday 9am – 4pm. These times are subject to availability, and we recommend booking a badminton court to avoid disappointment.
Table tennis: We have four table tennis tables where you can enjoy a friendly match. Book a space between 9am and 9pm Monday – Friday, and 9am and 4pm Saturday and Sunday. These times are subject to availability so we suggest booking to avoid disappointment.
Carpet bowls: Try your hand at carpet bowls, an extremely popular variant of lawn bowls, but with relaxed and less complex rules. Carpet bowls is played indoors on a mat that measures about 30 x 6 feet.
Indoor and Outdoor 5-a-Side Football: Indoor 5-a-side and outdoor 3G 5-a-side football facilities are available to use at Newburn Activity Centre. This is an incredibly popular activity at the centre and the facilities are available to use Monday to Friday 9am – 9pm, and 9am – 4pm Saturday and Sunday.
Bike Hire: Come down to Newburn Activity Centre and hire a bike for a couple of hours. You can enjoy cycling around a thriving country park on the banks of the River Tyne, exploring the many off road paths, and reaping the positive physical and mental benefits gained by getting outdoors and being surrounded by nature.
Indoor Climbing Wall: Are you ready to scale new heights and experience the thrill of adventure on our indoor climbing wall? Newburn Activity Centre’s indoor climbing wall is Newcastle’s answer to the ultimate climbing wall experience. Our small, but perfectly formed climbing wall had completely new and impressive climbing routes added in late 2024. We encourage you and your family to unleash your inner explorer, whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned pro.
