Birdworld, located in the UK, is a family-friendly wildlife park offering exciting animal encounters and educational fun for visitors aged 0 to 99. Spread across 18 acres, it’s the perfect place for children and adults to explore the vibrant world of birds and other fascinating species. Open daily, it combines nature, play, and discovery in one vibrant setting.

Highlights include the Dinosaur Discovery Trail, Penguin Beach with endangered African penguins, and the Owl Academy for learning about clever birds of prey. Kids can enjoy the open-air Adventure Playground, indoor Play Barn, and immersive Wetland Waders experience. The indoor exhibit “Love + Colour” shares fun facts about bird relationships and breeding.

Admission is £19.95 for adults and children (ages 2–15), £17.95 for concessions, and free for children under 2.

With talks and feeding sessions, birthday party packages, and great facilities like cafés, picnic areas, and baby changing rooms, Birdworld offers something for everyone. It’s easily accessible by car or public transport, with free parking on-site. A day at Birdworld is a fun-filled mix of learning, play, and unforgettable wildlife moments.

  • Talks and Feeding times: Come along to hear wild and wonderful facts about the characterful birds and their worlds. Talks and feeds vary throughout the year.
  • Penguin Beach: Penguin Beach is the place to find the smaller, critically endangered African penguins. Opened in 2011, it was designed to recreate the biodiversity of a small island found off the coast of South Africa. Sharing the beach are a number of other coastal birds from the area, providing a fascinating glimpse into the social lives and interactions between species.
  • Love + Colour: Indoors, interactive and very much in lurve. Walk through a world of vibrant love vibes. Many birds pair up for life, signalling attraction in dazzling colour. But what do they see in each other? This colourful covered space walks you through Birdworld’s remarkable breeding programmes, using hands-on play and an array of exotic species.
  • The Owl Academy: Woo-hoo! This way for a different class of predator. Exactly how clever can owls be? How have they adapted to hunt and hide? This is the place to learn eye-popping facts and marvel at the mystery of these beautiful birds of prey.
  • Wetland Waders: Step into serenity by the sea Living beside the ocean sounds dreamy, doesn’t it? But imagine the challenge of catching, eating and even prising open seafood without hands or teeth.  Walk through a stunning variety of species that skim and sift the water beside you, or swoop and soar all around you, in this truly immersive experience.
  • Outdoor Adventure: Clamber, swoop and discover what’s in and amongst the trees. In Birdworld’s new open air playground, children can stretch their wings and get off the ground, safely. Rope nets and bridges, raised walkways, suspended trampolines and giant bird nests all invite woodland explorations from a fresh perspective.
  • Play Barn: Scurry, swish and perch under cover in The Play Barn. Whatever the weather, children love to connect with nature. That’s why the woodland world has been brought inside The Play Barn. It’s all adventure and exploration away from the elements.
  • Dinosaur Discovery Trail: Where did the dinosaurs go? Follow the footprints and find out… Follow the twists and turns of the Dinosaur Discovery Trail to find who’s lurking around the next corner. Meet different dino species in their life-size glory and snap a quick selfie, if you dare. Discover fascinating prehistoric facts at 12 encounters along the trail and question whether they are really extinct, or have they quietly evolved?

  • By public transport: The South Western Railway service from London Waterloo to Alton, stops at Aldershot, Farnham and Bentley. From Farnham or Aldershot train station, visitors can take the Stagecoach bus service directly to a stop right outside Birdworld.
  • By Car: Easily accessible from the M25, you’ll find us 2 miles south of Farnham on the A325. Well signposted from the M3 junction 4, just follow the brown and white cockatoo road signs. Free parking available.
