Description

Peckham Platform is a creative and educational charity based in Peckham, south London. We bring local communities together with leading artists to co-produce social art that responds directly to the needs and concerns of the people involved. We commission new work, run workshops, talks and exhibitions and provide progression routes for young people.

We hope in the future to build a space in Peckham that provides free access to art for everyone. We look forward to expanding the important creative work we do with children, young people, families, elders, and all communities in Peckham.

Features

  • What is social art: Socially engaged art can be broadly defined as what happens when artists work with people in the co-creation of a public outcome. In the context of Peckham Platform, this means that we support artists to work with Peckham’s communities in the process of making something together.
  • Creative expressions: Are you aged 14-17 and living in south London? Join us in Peckham on Tuesday 7 April, when we’re hosting a day of ceramics and creative conversation workshops.
  • We invite you to a new exhibition: We welcome you to Myah Asha Jeffers’ exhibition “In living memory”, at The Hub, 42 Bonar Rd, London SE15 5FB from 21 February - 8 April 2026.
  • A Journey Through Time and Culture: This free activity pack poses two questions: "What is a diaspora?" and "How do culture and creativity affect each other?" to develop a collection of cards for conversation around themes of diaspora and cultural identity.
  • Memories for the Future: Explore our current programme as we cherish and learn from Rye Lane’s iconic “Aunties”, the women business leaders who exemplify the realities of migration into Britain and continue to be a foundational influence on our local community.
