Description

Monkey Haven on the Isle of Wight is an award-winning sanctuary that rescues and cares for primates and other animals in need. Open since 2010, it’s a peaceful and educational place suitable for visitors of all ages. The centre provides a safe haven for animals while offering a fun day out for families.

You can meet over 19 species of primates, from playful marmosets to singing lar gibbons. Enjoy keeper talks and feeding sessions, and let kids explore the Cheeky Monkeys and Funky Monkeys play areas. Animal adoption options and interactive trails add to the experience.

Online admission is £16.00 for adults and £14.00 for children, with under-3s entering free. Family tickets are £56.00, and on-the-door prices are slightly higher.

With free parking, picnic areas, a café, and birthday party packages, Monkey Haven is a special place full of heart. It’s more than just a visit—it’s a chance to support rescue work, learn about wildlife, and create unforgettable family memories.

Animal species: They care for over 19 different species of primates, from the tiny Marmosets to the singing Lar Gibbons. This diverse group is the largest collection on the Isle of Wight and every animal has a unique personality.
Keeper talks: There are award-winning Keeper talks & feeds throughout the day where you can learn all about our awesome animals & how they came to be here.
Cheeky Monkeys play area: This is a special area for our smallest visitors. It features bubble cars, tricycles, springies, and a slide and baby swings! It’s right next to the cafe, so you can watch with a cuppa.
Funky Monkeys play area: This area is for older children to have a play – with rope bridges, slides, swings, towers and a see-saw.
Animal adoption: An adoption makes a very special gift, and also gives you a lovely feel-good glow. We’ll send the lucky recipient a bundle of goodies, depending on which adoption you choose.

Monkey Haven is the perfect place for a fun birthday party. They have many wonderful animals who can’t wait to say hello, as well as two fantastic play areas, a stamper trail and fun activity booklet. The friendly team will ensure that you have a very special time and the owl mascot will also drop by to say ‘happy birthday!’.

The birthday package costs £17.50 pp and includes:

Entry to the Haven.
Guided tour.
Meet an owl or reptile up close.
Picnic box (sandwich, crisps, yoghurt, chocolate bar and drink). Allergies can be catered for.
Visit from the owl mascot.
Use of all facilities, including the play areas. Stay all day if you like!
Exclusive use of the Lodge for two hours. You can decorate this room however you want.
Goodie bags to take home.
Junior animal adoption—our pressie for the birthday girl or boy.
