Gorgeous Gardens: Roam the meandering paths around Kenwood through 112 acres of glorious parkland. Set on the crest of one of the most popular open spaces in the capital, Hampstead Heath.
Explore the ancient woodland, fascinating dairy, and look out for the beautiful sculptures and sham bridge.
Amazing Architecture: See one of the greatest interiors by one of the masters of his art. Kenwood is a masterpiece created by the famous 18th-century Scottish architect Robert Adam. He extended the house and designed many of the rooms – with the star attraction being the Great Library.
Highlight Tours: Join us for Highlight Tours on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 11.30am and 2.30pm. Enjoy a 1-hour tour led by an expert volunteer to draw on some of the highlights of the collection and give a brief overview of Kenwood House. No need to pre-book, turn up and pay on the day - £10 Adults/ £5 English Heritage Members (Children free).
Spotlight Talks: We are running free 15-minute Spotlight Talks at Kenwood House on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 11.30am, 12:15pm, 1pm, 2.30pm, 3.15pm and 4pm. One of our volunteers will highlight a key item of the collection.
Who lived in a house like this? With a remarkable house come remarkable stories of the people who lived here. From Judge Lord Mansfield and his great niece Dido Belle, to brewing magnate Edward Guinness, who gave Kenwood to the nation.
Mac's Kenwood Trail: For families with children between 5-11 years old, Mac's Kenwood trail is the perfect guide to discover Kenwood stories in the house and estate.
Secondhand Bookshop: Looking for a new book? Make sure you come and visit our secondhand bookshop in Mansion Cottage (next to our Garden shop). This is a volunteer-led project run and manned entirely by our amazing volunteers. All proceeds from the bookshop go into the restoration and running of Kenwood.
Shopping: Browse our three shops at Kenwood and pick up the perfect reminder of a great day out, or a distinctive gift. From mugs and stationery, to tote bags and tea towels, there are many memorable items to catch your eye.
Gardens: The beautiful grounds around Kenwood and its café are open for visitors all year round. Enjoy these extensive grounds which feature a large parkland area, a historic pasture ground with lake, ancient woodland, and kitchen garden. There's plenty of space for children and families to relax, let off steam, or be inspired.

Facilities

Parking: From Monday 6 October 2025 to Wednesday 14 January 2026, the carpark at Kenwood will be closed. There will be a small number of disabled parkig spaces for Blue Badge holders. Parking charges apply. Free parking for English Heritage members. There are five designated Blue Badge holder parking spaces. Blue Badge holders are welcome to park in any available space free of charge. Please note parking is available only for vehicles that can fit within a marked bay (4.6m x 2.3m). Parking is only available within opening hours and is closed every evening.
Food And Drink: Visitors can enjoy the Brew House Café for a delicious selection of sandwiches, salads, freshly baked cakes and pastries. Visit on a Sunday to enjoy an indulgent roast lunch. You can also grab-and-go with drinks, treats and sandwiches from the Stewards Room café.
Toilets: Male and female toilets are located inside the house and in the Service Wing. There are accessible toilets in the Service Wing next to the Brew House Café.
