Greystoke and District Outdoor Pool is a heated open-air swimming pool located in the heart of the picturesque village of Greystoke, Cumbria. Heated by air source heat pumps to around 26°C, it provides a comfortable and enjoyable swimming experience for all ages. With both a main pool and a toddler pool, it’s a great destination for families and the local community.

Visitors can enjoy the 18m main pool, the toddler pool with toys and floats, and fun features like the dolphin slide and poolside seating. Next to the pool, there are two play areas with equipment including a trampoline, nest swing, space net, Saturn spinner, and slide, plus a large playing field that hosts football matches. A café is open during pool hours for light snacks and refreshments.

Prices are affordable, with entry at £6 for adults, £4 for children (2–16), £6 for over-60s, and £1 for spectators. Pool Hire is available for birthday parties.

Swimming: At 18m long and 9m wide our main pool is the largest outdoor pool in Eden. Being fully enclosed and heated to around 26ºC makes for an enjoyable swimming environment. Our smaller pool is designed for toddlers and provides for a great family day out. Fully trained lifeguards are on duty during all public swim times. Pool facilities include: Toys and floats, Dolphin slide, Poolside seating.
Play Area and Sports Pitch: There are two community play areas designed for different ages and all abilities located next to the swimming pool and large playing field. Equipment includes a sunken trampoline , a nest swing, 4m space net, Saturn spinner and slide. During pool opening hours the cafe is open for light snacks and refreshments. The playing field is equipped with goal posts and plays host to Greystoke FC matches.

Birthday Party Details

Greystoke Swimming Pool is available for hire in 1 hour slots for your private use. A qualified lifeguard will be provided for your safety (not for child minding!) along with our changing rooms & hot showers and possible cafe use. We’ll need at least 1 week notice for private hires, so that we can organise a lifeguard to be on duty for you. Full payment is required when booking to secure your date and time.

Up to 30 swimmers: £100 (1h) / Subsequent hours: £50 per hour

Greystoke Village Pool is located in the heart of the picturesque village of Greystoke. There is ample parking in the Pool and Playing Field Car Park located a 100m walk from the pool. Please park here and not on the road outside the pool, use the carpark entrance off the main road to Penrith.
