Glenshee Ski Centre transforms into a spectacular summer destination in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, operating daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm between June and September. Located in Scotland’s scenic highlands, it provides the perfect place to break your journey, take in panoramic views, or bag your first Munro. The centre serves as a popular base for hill walking enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers seeking both thrilling and leisurely mountain experiences.

The highlight attraction is the Cairnwell Chairlift offering 360-degree panoramic views of Glenshee and the surrounding Cairngorms from the highest point of the ski centre. Glenshee is home to 9 Munros in the southern Cairngorms, making it ideal for Munro bagging and hill walking with beginner-friendly ascents available. Family-friendly activities include geocaching, sightseeing, Snowsports, and nature spotting throughout the wider national park.

Chairlift tickets are priced with adults at £10-£14, juniors/seniors at £7-£10, under 5s at £2, and family tickets at £27-£38. All tickets must be purchased on arrival from Tea@TheShee Café.

With free parking for the first hour (included with chairlift tickets) and daily parking at £4.00, Glenshee offers convenient access to highland adventures including the Tea@TheShee Café serving meals with stunning national park views. Summer in the mountains never looked so good with plenty of activities to keep you thrill seekers and outdoor adventurers busy during the warmer months. If you are looking to start your journey into Munro Bagging and Hill Walking, Glenshee is home to some beginner ascents with additional help of our Summer Chairlift. If you are looking for a more leisurely way to spend a day at Glenshee, there are other activities in this part of the Cairngorms National Park that offer Geocaching, sightseeing and nature spotting.

  • Snowsports: Experience Scotland's Largest Ski Area with terrain to suit all abilities. It's 3,504 ft of mountain adventure that beckons to skiers and snowboarders alike. From invitingly easy to the surprisingly steep, Glenshee offers the most extensive skiing and snowboarding in Scotland. Steeps and glades, pisted and unpisted, open bowls and narrow gullies, no matter your ability, Glenshee's mountains have your name on them!
  • Summer Chairlift: Explore 360 panoramic views of Glenshee and the Cairngorm National Park. During the Summer season our Cairnwell Chairlift is open to everyone!  We offer uplift and return tickets for our Cairnwell Chair which offers a relaxing uplift experience to the highest point of our Ski Centre. From the top you can see panoramic views of our surrounding mountains and peaks! 
  • Munro & Hill Walking: There is no greater feeling than reaching the summit! Glenshee is home to 9 Munros in the southern Caringorms, making our ski centre a popular base for hill walking enthusiasts and munro baggers looking to tick more than one summit off their list. In Scotland, a Munro is a Scottish mountain with an elevation of more than 914m. To 'Bag' the munro simply means to reach it's summit and there are 282 of them across Scotland's Mainland and Island's.
  • Activities in Cairngorms: Explore nature and discover Scotland's great outdoors. Summer is a great time to explore the wider areas and new landscapes of Glenshee, with plenty of activities that the whole family can enjoy together!
