Flying Saucers Painting Pottery Café in Hebden Bridge is a creative studio where visitors of all ages can design and paint their own pottery. With over 100 different items to choose from, your creations are professionally glazed, fired, and ready to collect within a week. Pricing includes a £4 studio fee, with individual pottery pieces priced separately—mugs and bowls start from £9, plates from £11, and collectible items from just £8.

Choose a plate, bowl, mug, or even piggy bank, unicorn, fairy or dinosaur from our extensive range. Decide how you'll paint it. We have books for inspiration if you're stuck. Sit & paint using our brushes or sponge stamps - our staff will help with advice. Have a drink & a snack whilst you create. When you've finished leave it with us for (lead-free) glazing and firing. Your masterpiece will ready to collect within a week (if you have specific requirements please phone to discuss in advance) We can also arrange to post your pottery to you if you are unable to collect it in person.
- Baby Footprints: Baby footprints on a mug, picture frame, plate, teapot, piggybank or just about anything else make ideal gifts and keepsakes. The paint is completely non-toxic, and should any get on your clothes it simply washes out. However, once the pottery is glazed and fired, the item is foodsafe. So for example, the proud Daddy can use his mug at work with baby's footprints on!
- Groups: A pottery painting session is an original, fun, educational and rewarding session for groups of all kinds. We have previously worked with school groups, scouts, corporate groups, rainbows, after school clubs, brownies, church groups, exchange visitors, etc. We can seat groups of 25 in the studio, more by special arrangement. If it works better for you for logistical reasons, we could come to visit you at your location (minimum numbers apply).
