Big Ben

Description

Big Ben is one of the most famous landmarks in the United Kingdom, located at the Palace of Westminster in London. Officially part of the Elizabeth Tower, it is instantly recognisable and one of the most photographed and Instagrammed places in the country. The attraction offers guided tours that let visitors experience the history and workings of this iconic clock tower up close.

Visitors can join a fully guided Big Ben tour, climbing the 334-step spiral staircase inside the Elizabeth Tower. The tour includes exhibition spaces with AV displays, views of the inner clock mechanism, standing beside the Great Bell (Big Ben) as it strikes the hour, and stepping behind the 6.9-metre-wide clock dials. Guests can also explore medieval Westminster Hall after completing the tower visit.

Big Ben tour tickets cost £35 for adults and £20 for children aged 11–17. Tours last 90 minutes and are only suitable for visitors aged 11 and over, with ear defenders provided due to high noise levels.

A visit to Big Ben is a unique chance to experience a world-famous landmark from the inside. The guided tour combines history, architecture, and engineering in an unforgettable way. It’s a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in London’s heritage and iconic sights.
