Abraham Moss Library & Leisure Centre is a modern, newly transformed facility offering a wide range of fitness, swimming, sports and community activities. Main Gym: We've got 90 stations of Technogym equipment in our main gym. Filled with natural light and an amazing view off the pool and open space, you'll love a workout here! We've got a fantastic selection of equipment across Strength, Cardio and Resistance plus a great range of functional kit too.
Pool 1: Pool 1 is made up of six lanes and is 25m x 12.5, with depths ranging from 0.9m at the shallow end to 2.0m at the deep end. We run a variety of sessions each and every week with water heated to 28 degrees.
Pool 2: Pool 2 is made up of four lanes and is 20m x 8.5m with depths ranging from 0.9m at the shallow end to 1.5m at the deep end. The water in Pool 2 is heated to 29 degrees. It can be completely separated from the Pool 1 space, with use of blinds and a separate changing room providing privacy if needed.
Programmable Gym: The programmable gym is designed to offer privacy to the user group, so you can workout in an environment to suit your needs. We've got a fantastic 30 stations of equipment across Strength, Cardio and Resistance plus a great range of functional kit too.
Sports Hall: Our Sports Hall offers amazing activities that everyone can get involved in. The sports hall hosts four badminton courts, one 5-a-side pitch, a netball court, one full sized basketball court, four practice courts and four cricket lanes!
Studio: The studio is the home for all things fitness class including mind and body, strength and conditioning, dance and cardio. We also hold Junior Basic classes for 11- 17yrs old. These classes help children build good levels of fitness whilst also making new friends.
Health Suite: Our health suite comprises of a 6 person Sauna and a 6 person steam room, and small relaxation area to enjoy between treatments. Health suites can help with stress relief, assist with increasing blood flow, weight loss and cleansing, along with helping you relax body and mind.
Squash Courts: If you’re looking to play squash, then come down to Abraham Moss Leisure Centre, where we have two glass backed squash courts available for both adult and juniors. The squash courts are on the first floor just at the top of the stairs, and have a water fountain just outside and a small viewing area for additional players to spectate from.
Abraham Moss Library: Your new library is an ultra- modern open plan space accessible seven days a week offering a welcoming cultural and creative space for the whole community. Featuring great books, free high quality access to Wi-Fi and the Internet, an exciting and diverse event programme for all ages plus speedy self-issue and return technology.
