St James' School

Description

St James' School is Independent Secondary school in Non-selective for kids aged 2 to 18 (Gender - 2 to 18 )

St. James’ School is built upon the tenet of family; caring, encouraging, supporting, and inspiring. Deliberately small, we passionately believe an extraordinary education is built upon strong, trusting relationships. At St. James’, these are immediately obvious. The dynamic curriculum blends seamlessly through our Senior school. St. James’ pupils are allowed time to follow their own passions within an environment that creates opportunities both in the here and now, but also for the future. Outwardly facing and globally aware, we welcome pupils from across the globe into our school. Boarding remains central to the St. James’ ethos, where the benefits of ‘living your education’ are available to all pupils.

Senior
St. James’ School prides itself upon its supportive and trusting relationships, a school which recognises many different forms of success and where bespoke pathways maximise individuals’ potential. The experienced and committed teachers nurture pupils through these formative years, modelling self-reflection in the pursuit of lifelong learning. Opportunities to develop talents in art, drama, music, public speaking, and sport are abundant; each student can choose the options that best support their passions alongside supportive and kindred students who are equally keen to take ownership of their learning. We’ll help your child become ‘Future Proof’, fostering the essential skills that offer the keys to fulfilment in life. Pupil-centred, they aim to build inner confidence, offer opportunities to build resilience, promote creative thinking, encourage different opinions, and for every student to make an impression. The Senior department is the gateway to adulthood and independence; where every child grows into themselves.

Sixth Form
St. James’ Sixth Form is a highly personalised two year experience for pupils moving up from the Senior department or joining us from another school. Large enough to offer an impressive range of A-Levels, yet small enough to allow for bespoke combinations of courses, the Sixth Form at St. James’ prepares students for the next stage of their lives as independent, confident and self-aware young adults.
