Description

Bohunt School is a State Secondary School for kids aged 11 to 18 (Gender - Mixed)

Bohunt School in Liphook is a mixed 11 – 18 school and sixth form, with more than 1,500 students on roll. Set within the South Downs National Park, we draw students from the surrounding areas including Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex. They are proud to be judged an Ofsted-rated Outstanding school and TES school of the Year. In 2017, we opened our sixth form, which is sited in a bespoke building on the same site as the main school, in beautiful surroundings. They are the founding school of the pioneering Bohunt Education Trust, which has a number of schools across the south and beyond. Due to the heritage as a Specialist Language College the curriculum maintains a strong international flavour, including immersion language teaching in Mandarin, Spanish and French. We are a busy and vibrant school with high expectations and aspirations for all members of our learning community.

Curriculum
BET’s vision is that ‘the highest expectations, a culture of Enjoy Respect Achieve, unparalleled opportunities and highly effective teaching combine to develop students who are game changers’. They define curriculum as ‘the totality of student experiences that occur in the educational process’. Student experiences should reinforce and increase understanding and knowledge of what is taught formally within the timetable of lessons. The curriculum, therefore, is far broader than the timetable, encompassing co-curricular clubs, the outdoor programme, and trips and visits programme together with all other aspects of delivery to students.  It is through this wider definition of curriculum that they deliver the broad, balanced, rigorous experiences required to develop the knowledge, skills, deep learning, attitudes and ambition needed to be a gamechanger.
