Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum is the largest tennis museum in the world. The museum was inaugurated at The Championships centenary event in 1977. On 12 April 2006, The Duke of Kent declared the brand new Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum open to the public inside the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

Expertly led by a friendly Blue Badge Guide, you’ll see the facilities used by the world’s best tennis players as well as broadcasters, learn how Wimbledon’s distinctive grass is cared for and how the site has changed and improved each year.
  • Tours of the Grounds: The Tour of the Grounds takes about 90 minutes. The route includes many steps which some might find challenging. We have made arrangements by providing level access routes throughout the Tour, with accessible facilities. However, please be aware that the tour route is 90 minutes and while the route offers level access, it is granulated due to the hilly terrain of the grounds.
  • Explore the Collection: Discover the history of lawn tennis and see it evolve from a popular pastime to the world class sporting tournament that is The Championships. Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum cares for over 40,000 objects in its collection – ranging from tennis equipment, fashion, decorative arts to ephemera and photography. The Museum is complemented by the Kenneth Ritchie Wimbledon Library, the largest tennis Library in the world.

  • Parking: A Championships Park & Ride service is available at Morden Park (located on the A24, postcode SM4 5QU) charged at £20 for standard cars/minibuses or £10 for fully electric vehicles.
  • Food & Drinks: The Wingfield Cafe is separate from the Museum Building and is generally reached by external steps. Alternative lift access is provided for wheelchairs, buggies and for those who find steps difficult.  
  • Toilets: All toilets, including accessible toilets and baby changing facilities, are accessible via a lift.
