Description

Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, West Wittering Beach is a large and sandy beach located at the entrance to Chichester Harbour. Proud holders of the Blue Flag Award for cleanliness and safety when it is patrolled by lifeguards in the summer months. Throughout the day, either to eat in or as a takeaway, the Beach Cafe serves an appetising range of hot and cold food (open weekends only in the winter season). There are beach huts available for hire and has a kite surfing and windsurfing club.

From 1st May to 30th September, dogs are excluded from the main swimming beach between groynes numbered 14a to 18, which broadly corresponds to the area in front of the line of beach huts. Dogs are welcome on the whole beach during the rest of the year.

BBQ’s are permitted however they must be disposed of carefully
