welcome to The Lightbox, award-winning gallery and museum in Woking, Surrey. Three stunning galleries host a huge range of exhibitions, changing regularly, plus a busy programme of events, workshops, talks and tours. Family-friendly, accessible venue, with a gift shop and café to complete your visit.

Our Floor 1 & 2 Galleries & Museum open at 10.30am Wed-Sun, which is 30 minutes later than our Ground Floor, Cafe and Shop. Ground floor: The ground floor is a free-to-enter community hub. Alongside the two exhibition spaces which rotate works from local artists and The Ingram Collection, there is a children’s play area, secondhand bookshelf, and much more.
Floor 1: Floor 1 is easily accessible by elevator and displays a range of artworks and historical items. It has two large exhibition spaces, an art studio and a meeting room available for hire. The long, bright hallway that runs the length of the building overlooks the canal and hosts captivating artwork.
Floor 2: On the second floor, you’ll find more unique exhibition and events spaces and views of central Woking. Although subject to change, the second floor hallway is most regularly lined with paintings from The Ingram Collection, spanning the last 100 years of modern art.

By Car: The Lightbox is 15 minutes from the M25, exit at Junction 11. From the A3 southbound, exit at Chobham/Painshill signposted A245.
By Bus: Bus routes 436, 446, 48, 456, 592, 556 all stop at the Town Quay bus stop, next to the Lightbox Gallery on Victoria Way, opposite the theatre. Access to the stop is on the canal side by the WWF Centre and Bedser Bridge.
By Train: The Lightbox Gallery is a 5 minute walk from Woking Station, servicing regular trains from central London. From London Waterloo, it’s only a 25-minute ride! Once at Woking station, simply follow the signposts through the town centre to find us. Cycle stands are available upon arrival at the gallery.
