The Centre @ Halton is a vibrant and welcoming community hub in the heart of Halton, run by local volunteers and the Halton Community Association. It provides a warm and friendly space for families, individuals, and groups, with free access as a Warm Welcome Space during colder months. The centre is funded through fundraising events, facility hire, and its popular Coffee Shop.

Highlights include the Halton Baby & Toddler Group with toys, puzzles, and song time, Hartbeeps classes with musical adventures for babies and toddlers, and Tots Play Lancaster combining yoga, music, and sensory fun. Adults and older kids can join 5-a-side football, indoor bowling, or Tae Kwon Do lessons. Outdoor features include a skate park, children’s play areas, upgraded football pitch, picnic area, and youth shelter.

Access is mostly free, with small charges for specific sessions such as £1 for toddler group, £3 for football or bowling, and standard class fees for activities like Tae Kwon Do.   • Halton Baby & Toddler Group: A fun and friendly session for babies and toddlers to play and for parents and carers to meet. There is a selection of toys, ride ons, puzzles, books and games. We finish up with song time and musical instruments. 
  • Hartbeeps: At Hartbeeps we put your child at the heart of our magical, musical adventures. We offer original and super fun, developmental baby classes and toddler classes, as well as nursery sessions and fabulous children’s parties.
  • Tots Play Lancaster: Yoga, music, massage, sign language and sensory exploration combined with cuddles, smiles, friendships and fun!
  • Football 5-a-side: 5 a side Football meets on Mondays 8pm – 9pm , the cost is £3.00 a session. Everyone is welcome from age 16 upwards, male and female. It’s fun and friendly football!
  • Indoor Bowling: Indoor Bowling is on every Friday in the Main Hall. Autumn and Winter 10.30am to 12.30pm. Spring and Summer 2.00pm – 4.00pm Please check with The Centre Office for current play times. The session is £3 including refreshments. This is a great way to stay active and meet new people. 
  • Tae Kwon Do: Eclipse Tae Kwon Do Association runs a Beginners Course for ages 6 years and above on Tuesdays from 6.15 – 7.15 pm on Tuesdays. First lesson FREE. Classes are taught in a friendly atmosphere where the individual’s age and abilities are respected.

Birthday Party Details

We have great facilities available to hire. Making us an ideal venue for meetings, birthdays, weddings and conferences. When enquiring about your booking please note that reductions are also available for regular hire and multiple bookings.  We charge special rates for larger functions such as weddings, and these need to be discussed at the time of booking. We are fully licensed therefore, we can provide a pop up bar within any of our facilities. We are pleased to announce that we can now allow bouncy castles and other inflatables.

From Lancaster/Morecambe take Low Road at the mini roundabout. Pass the Greyhound pub and carry on through where the road narrows. The Centre is on the left and signposted, about 100 metres after the narrow point.  If travelling from Caton or the Crook O’ Lune follow Low Road and turn right immediately after you pass the last bungalows and houses on the right. The Centre is signposted on Low Road and there is plenty of parking.

Bus 49 from Lancaster (and Carnforth /Warton less often) stops near the mini roundabout (War Memorial) and on High Road. A footpath leads down to The Centre from High Road near the top shops (signposted). Buses are daytime only, check the timetable before making your journey.
