Description
The Bakewell Treasure Trail is a fun self-guided treasure hunt set in the charming market town of Bakewell in Derbyshire. Designed for families, friends and puzzle lovers aged 6 to 106, it combines sightseeing with clue-solving challenges. Participants follow a series of puzzles to uncover hidden treasure while exploring the town.
This 1.8-mile circular walking trail takes around 2 hours to complete at your own pace. The adventure leads explorers through Bakewell’s scenic streets, Bath Gardens and along the riverside while searching for clues left behind by the mischievous Sir Percy Pudding. Your mission is to track down Lady Treacle Tart’s missing jewels before rival treasure hunters find them first. If you get stuck, a helpful text message service can provide hints along the way.
The Treasure Trail costs £9.99 per Trail, which covers the whole group playing together. The same Trail can also be used for birthday parties, working best in small teams of around 4–5 people, with adult support recommended for younger children.
