Fascinating displays, hand loom & power loom demonstrations and hands on activities. The Museum of Carpet has lots for you to enjoy as you discover over 300 years of Kidderminster’s integral history. The Museum of Carpet houses an extensive collection of objects, archives, books and photographs relating to the carpet industry dating from the 18th century to the present day. Schools: For schools and colleges, the museum constitutes an unparalleled resource for learning about the history of Kidderminster’s carpet industry and the lives of those who lived and worked in the town. The entrance to the Museum is located in then left hand side of the Morrison’s building, nearest Green Street.

GET DIRECTIONS

  • Car: The museum does not have its own parking, but there is a pay and display car park immediately opposite. Blue badge spaces are available in this car park. Please note Morrisons’ car park is reserved for supermarket customers only and has a restricted time limit for parking (2.5 hours).
  • Bus: The nearest bus stop is Green Street.
  • Rail: Arrive at Kidderminster station. Walk down Comberton Hill and use the subway under the roundabout to reach Green Street. Walk 100m along Green Street and the Museum of Carpet is on your left.
