Mudpie Creative Studio is a family-owned creative space in Folkestone where people of all ages can enjoy art and pottery together. Pottery Painting: Once you walk into Mudpie we allocate you a table and leave you to select your pottery. Chosing is part of the fun so take your time, we have a large selection. There are buckets full of brushes, pick what you need and we meet you at the table to give you a short explanation on how to achieve the best results. We also explain the use of our tools if you are going to use them. Please ask a member of staff, we will be happy to help.
Foam Clay: Foam Clay is an incredibly popular air drying modelling clay with small beads that are used for coating all kinds of items and surfaces. To use, roll small balls of foam clay, pressing and spreading as you go. It is ideal to cover the whole piece in a thin layer first, then add details after. Foam clay can also be rolled out and cut out with cookie cutters to create the cutest designs.
Clay Courses for Kids: Come and create one pot on the POTTERY WHEEL with stoneware clay, then go crazy decorating it after your slot! You must book your 15-20 minute slot for this fun workshop. Pick out of 40+ beautiful stoneware glazes, including crystals. Your pot will look incredible! £29.50 One to One.
Build a Teddy: We wanted to widen our activity & party selection and searched high and low for the best quality teddy on the market and we found Teddy Mountain! Give them the cuddle test, they are so soft and loveable on their own or with the adorable selection of outfits to pick from.
Prints: You know what they say “They don't stay young for very long.” This is so true. With these you can remember how tiny they once were, how once their little hand fit into yours, those tiny toes you just had to kiss. We do hand, foot & paw prints on pottery & clay. A great memento for you or family members to treasure always.

Birthday Party Details

You can choose to PAINT, BUILD A TEDDY, HANDBUILD IN CLAY or FOAM CLAY! After you finish painting your pottery, you leave it with us to professionally glaze and fire it for you. Foam Clay & Build a Teddy are also great fun & you can take home on the day. Booking is essential, please give us a ring during opening hours on 01303 248056.
Remember we can stay open for large groups until 6.00 pm on weekdays, making it possible for you have have a party during the week, after school. You get exclusive use of our gorgeous party room for all partry plans. Party pakages starts from £19.50.
