Mountain View Stables offers an unforgettable horseback experience along some of the most scenic trails in the West of Ireland and the Wild Atlantic Way. Trails pass through woodlands, ascend the hills of Slieve Elva, and wind along peaceful green roads into the renowned Burren region. Riders can trek up the mountains to enjoy panoramic views over 1,200 feet above the Atlantic, including the Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, and Connemara Mountains. Suitable for riders of all ages and experience levels, each trail provides a unique adventure. The stables are located just minutes from Doolin Cave and a short drive from the seaside village of Doolin, famous for traditional music and vibrant culture, making it an ideal base for exploring the West of Ireland.

Trail prices are €40 per person for the Dirt Trek Trail, €70 per person for the Mountain Trek, and €100 per person for the Burren Trek.

Each rider is carefully matched with a suitable horse, whether seeking a gentle stroll or an energetic canter. Helmets and half chaps are provided. Trails range from 1 to 6 hours in duration.
- Dirt Trek Trail: Trek through forestry and along the Burren green roads with views of the Cliffs of Moher and Atlantic Ocean. - Take the N18/M18 towards Ennis.
- From the M18 take the N85 exit marked Ennis/Ennistymon (Junction 12)
- Follow signs for Ennistymon on the N85 going through Inagh
- Continue through Ennistymon following signs for Lisdoonvarna on the N67
- After approximately 11km turn left onto R477 ssignposted Fanore/Coast Road
- Drive approximately 2km following signs for Mountain View Horse Riding Centre directing you to the right
- On the right
From Galway
- Leave in the direction of Limerick(N18) and continue to village of Kilcolgan
- In Kilcolgan take right turn(just after petrol station and Mother Hubbards) onto N67 (signposted Ballyvaughan)
- Continue through Ballinderreen, Kinrara and onto Ballyvaughan
- In Ballyvaughan take a left at the T-junction still following N67 to Lisdoonvarna
- In lisdoonvarna take a right turn opposite the Spar shop, follow this route for 2km and turn right onto the R477 signposted Coast Road/Fanore
- Drive approximately 2km following signs for Mountain View Horse Riding Centre directing you to the right
- On the right
From the Cliffs of Moher car park
- Turn right onto R478 towards Doolin/Lisdoonvarna for 10 km
- Turn left onto N67 for 1km
- Take next left onto R477 signposted Coast Road/Fanore
