The war memorial garden at the end of a tree lined avenue has benches and a wonderful display of flowers and is a tranquil place to sit. The park has several interesting planted areas including more formal gardens, sensory gardens, and a community kitchen garden –maintained by organisations within the local community. For those people looking for a more active time there are several tennis courts and a large grassed area for ball games. A recent addition to the park is the children’s play area with an interesting range of fixed equipment. Access to the park is good and all paths around the park are surfaced. The main entrance has a small car park with one allocated disabled space. There is also unrestricted parking in the residential streets near other entrances.
