Description
The Peninsula of Gower is only 15 miles long (east to west) by about 6 miles wide (north to south), although the historic region of Gower also included a lot of land inland to the north-east. While many people have heard of the little England beyond England in South Pembrokeshire, Gower remains an enigma. Until the outbreak of the 2nd world war, it was still largely a region of small farming communities with its own dialect and traditions. Its unique character was forged from its mix of Welsh, Somerset/North Devon and Norman ancestry.

Farm & Solar Park
The Eco-Farm at Killan Fach, Dunvant has been worked by the Heritage Centre for over 20 years for growing a variety of products including Christmas Trees and for supporting our Animal Park with cultivated feeding crops and grazing. The Farm is a valuable resource for the Heritage Centre providing a regular supply of cut and potted Christmas trees (sold at the Heritage Centre) and other products such as cut fire logs and willow and hazel used for our historical re-enactments and weaving classes.
Traditional Cookery Classes – A Taste of Times Past
Join them in the ‘Dairy’ for a Taste of Times Past. Learn how to pickle, make butter and fresh cheese. Try your hand at bring both ‘Miller and Baker’ with a bread making workshop.
Jewellery Classes
The Little Gem bead shop is home to a wide selection of beads, findings and beautiful handmade jewellery and crafts. Classes in a variety of crafts run throughout the year.
Community Art Projects - The Process
Group sessions are conducted with the children to discuss the project brief and to capture their thoughts and ideas. This Collaboration and brain storming session helps to engage the children, draw on their own experiences and imagination as inspiration.
The Smallest Cinema in Wales
Available for private bookings – Subject to pandemic guidelines. Bring your own DVD (Standard or Blu Ray) or USB Stick and enjoy a party for up to 20 people at our private cinema. The red carpet will be rolled out and you can also bring your own food & drinks.

Three Cliffs River Paddle
This is an amazing paddle experience which starts at the Heritage Centre, on the Gower coast in South Wales. On a high tide you can start the paddle from the river that starts in the carpark at the Heritage centre, by paddling underneath the road via an amazing stone tunnel and involves lying face flat on your board and also hanging on to your paddle!
