  • Glendeer Pet Farm – Birthday Parties: Glendeer Pet Farm in Athlone is an ideal venue for birthday parties, communions, confirmations, or other special events. The farm provides a safe and entertaining environment where children can interact with animals, including assisted handling of rabbits and guinea pigs, or enjoy the playground before the party.
    • Party Options:
      • Option 1 – €10 per child: Admission to the farm, 1-hour table reservation; bring your own food, drinks, and decorations or have food delivered.

  • From the Dublin/Longford side of Athlone: Follow the signs for Galway until you are on the M6 (Athlone by-pass). Take Exit 13(Tuam/Monksland exit), (if you miss this turn you will end up on the motorway & there are no slipways off until you reach Ballinasloe). After taking Exit 13, you come to a roundabout, take the 2nd exit (signposted Drum) and continue on to another roundabout where you take the 1st exit (Drum), just after that roundabout you take the next turn right for Drum and the farm is 2 miles (3kms) up the road on the left hand side.
  • From the Roscommon Road: Continue straight through the roundabout at Ganly’s Hardware Store (signposted Athlone), keep going straight until you come to a T-junction, turn right, continue until you come to a roundabout, take the 1st exit (signposted Drum) and continue on to another roundabout, take the 1st exit again (Drum), then take the next right for Drum & Glendeer Farm is 2 miles (3kms) up that road on the left.
  • From the Galway side of Athlone (motorway): Head for Athlone (following Dublin signs) & take the 1st slipway off motorway signposted Exit 13 (Athlone west). Continue to the 1st roundabout take the 2nd exit (Athlone/Galway), at the 2nd roundabout take the 3rd exit (Drum) & at the 3rd roundabout take the 1st exit (Drum), after that roundabout you take the next turn right for Drum and the farm is 2 miles (3kms) up the road on the left hand side.
  • From the Galway side of Athlone (old Ballinasloe/Athlone road, N6): Head for Athlone from Ballinasloe on the old road-R446, signposted Ballydangan from the round-about just outside of Ballinasloe on the Dublin/East side. Continue for about 12 miles, look out for a sign for ‘Glendeer Pet Farm next turn left’, take that left turn for Drum and the farm is 2 miles (3kms) up that road on the left hand side. (If you miss that left turn for Drum and come to roundabout you are gone too far so just go right around the roundabout and turn back onto the road you came from and take the next right turn and the farm is 2 miles up that road).
