  • Farm Trails: Waymarked trails through pastures, woodland, and along the River Tern are free to access and dog-friendly (on leads). Trail lengths range from 30–70 minutes. Picnic areas and the café, Arthur’s Farm Kitchen, are available. Trail openings may vary due to farm activities or weather updates are displayed at the Welcome Shed next to Betty the Tractor.
  • Mud Kitchen and Play Area: Next to the café, Betty the Tractor and the Mud Kitchen offer sensory play, climbing, and discovery opportunities. Woodland areas feature wildlife sculptures, tyre swings, dens, a roundhouse for storytelling, and areas for exploring bugs. Children must be supervised.
  • Farming System – Foggage, Organic & Free Range: Tenant farmer Ben Hollins operates a permaculture-based Foggage Farming system, keeping cattle and sheep outdoors year-round on diverse pastures with over 70 plant species. This regenerative system ensures livestock health, minimal veterinary intervention, and sustainable, free-range farming.
  • Pasture-Fed Livestock: Cows and sheep live entirely off organic pastures year-round, rotating across water meadows and sandbanks, with access to spring-fed water, shelter, and silvopasture. Winter grazing is supplemented with organic haylage from fields, some managed with Shropshire Wildlife Trust.
  • Free-Range Pigs: Gloucester Old Spot pigs roam freely under apple trees and use doorless shelters. Sows farrow naturally, nurturing their young and following instincts. Pigs are fed GM-free feed and forage naturally, reflecting the farm’s commitment to happy, free-range livestock.
  • Tree Planting – Living Barn: Over 3,000 trees will be planted to benefit livestock, soil, and climate. This project supports future farmers and honours Arthur Hollins, pioneer of Fordhall’s pasture-based Foggage farming system.
