Walking: Castle Leslie Estate is a peaceful rural destination for outdoor adventures. The 1,000-acre estate features rolling countryside, ancient woodlands, lakes, and historic landmarks such as the Gothic Lodge, the 19th-century Walled Garden, the Pinetum, and an Integrated Wetlands project. Several mapped walking routes range from short loops to longer leisurely strolls through the estate and the nearby village of Glaslough.
Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides: A traditional horse-drawn carriage ride is a gentle way to explore the estate’s tree-lined avenues and bridleways. A stately horse and experienced driver guide visitors on a scenic tour highlighting some of the most beautiful areas of the property.
Fishing: Castle Leslie Estate is well-known for pike fishing on the historic Glaslough (“Green Lake”). The lake has long been recognised as one of Ireland’s best-preserved loughs and is renowned among anglers. Fishing is open to residents and non-residents.
